A paddy field is a flooded parcel of arable land used for growing rice and other semiaquatic crops. Rice can also be grown in dry-fields, but from the twentieth century paddy field agriculture became the dominant form of growing rice. Paddy fields are a typical feature of rice-growing countries of east and southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Nepal, China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. They are also found in other rice-growing regions such as Piedmont (Italy), the Camargue (France) and the Artibonite Valley (Haiti). The word "paddy" is derived from the Malay word “padi”, rice plant

Good rice from the quality of paddy field. Some times when the price of rice is going up, we ask how that thing can happen then we want the lower price…why?. Actaly to get the quality paddy (rice), a farmer don’t just simply plant the paddy but they have do maintenance. So think of it

Nice capture of the man at work. But what is he doing exactly. Spraying insecticide? Salam. Latiff.

This makes interesting view, with green field and good exposure, even though the sky is washed out. WEll done. TFS
