Photographer’s Note
While waiting for my freighter to St. Pierre-Michelon in Halifax I had time to walk around the wharf. It was foggy with little visibility. As I rounded a building I found myself staring at this huge "thing" emerging out of the fog.
I've been on the Queen Mary but the Queen Elizabeth 2 was huge. So huge that it disappeared into the fog in the back. A wider lenss than 35mm would have helped but that's the breaks.
More on the St. Pierre trip later.

A very good point of view that enhance the hugeness (?) of the boat. The onlookers give a size reference. The fog and light give a ghost-like atmosphere that is quite scary, actually.

Veeery very impressive, well framed, the people standing by and the fog give all its mightiness to the ship.

Excellent image, with very good framing and DOF. The giant disappearing in the fog makes up for a spectacular subject. Very well chosen angle for the shot. I would aim for using the most of the 200 k available for the file size.

A nice shot taken from a good angle that emphasizes the QEII's size. I like the fog and I think that this image would be equally effective in black and white.

Very impressive shot and I like it. As I like this ship too.
With such a frame, we can have an idea of proportion of the ship. Good exposure and foggy light. I met the QE2 in Spain as you can see a picture on my album on TE. Happy to see your next shot in St Pierre

Excellent point of view to render a very nice effect of perspective. The fog and the depth of field choosen here are associated to give this mysterious feeling. The bow of the Queen Elizabeth seems to come from nowhere . Very well done !

This is a wonderful composition. Perhaps a wider lens. But you really nailed this one. Very Nice.

The mystique is still evident even at 35mm Anthony, the fog really changes the dynamic of the photo greatly. I like that the colours of the people on the wharf mirror the ship itself; the last man and his red/orange jacket. Well done
