[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Marmolada is the highest mountain of the Dolomites. It has a glacier and I've heard that the Italian downhill-skiteam practice here in the summers too. True?
This picture is taken from the one of three cable cars going up to the glacier at the height of 3342 meters.
I think that the cables in the photo somehow can describe the distance and steepness. In the middle of the photo, in the light part, very small, you can see one of the lift-houses on the other mountain ridge.

Hej Johan
Great lines that leads us in to the center of the image, the shadow play with the clouds is also very good as the DOF. good framed

Hello Johan,
Yes, I think the cables do a very good job of conveying the idea of steepness and distance. The way they radiate out from the centre creates a strong sense of movement: you can really feel yourself looking down into the valley below.
Your choice of B/W also works very well here.
Congratulations on this very unusual and striking view of a mountainside.
John

Hej Johan,
Najs presentation of the top(?) mountain of the Dolomites! The dark surroundings and the frame gives a bit scary impreesion. I like the b/w approach. What does it look like in colour?
Sofia next!
