The Sidewalk
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The sidewalk is almost empty late at night on Eighth Ave. A few people stroll through the rain though.
The 1hr. photo lab scanned this to CD for me, and I'm happy with the results for what it is. |

Sosa Borella. I know this corner. Good one, Brian. I see you're toiling away in the celluloid trenches. That's not a bad scan at all for a one-hour place. I might have cropped in on this one a bit, kill a bit of the left -- that white column -- and a bit of the foreground pavement. Wet streets are the best. Manhattan looks like a movie set. Which, I guess, it is. Best, -Hugh
Again I say, I love this photo :) I like the contrast I see between the bright lights (showing life) and the lone stranger walking...
dramatic in a way....
Great capture of this scene!
For some reason it made me think of Mr. Tambourine Man a.k.a. Bob Dylan...strange....
Peace,
Kaye

Hallo Brian!
A very impressive picture, especially because of the wet sidewalk and street. These rubbish bags underline this "daily life"-amtmosphere very well. I do not like this scenery at all - but you show it in a great way!
Greetings from cold, grey and rainy Germany!

Hi Brian,
I like this one! I'm not sure why though :-) I think it's the point of view with the yellow and red signs and one person walking there lonely on the street.
Always fun to go out and experiment with film :-). And interesting to see the quality of a photolab scan on CD. Quite good!! :-)
Greetings,
Dennis
