[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Passing train at the stop of Hohtenn on the north ramp section of BLS Lötschberg line. This line was one of the bottlenecks on the railways crossing the Alps.

On 9th December, 2007 the new Lötschberg base tunnel was opened for regular passenger trains reducing travels times between Northern Switzerland and canton of Valais considerably. The line has been in use for freight trains and passenger specials since the opening ceremony in 15th June, 2007.

Bel hommage à ce nouveau train, à ce nouveau tunnel qui nous permets à nous valaisans de gagner du temps sur des trajets, le cadrage avec les rails est superbe et très bien réalisé.

Hallo Kari!
Wonderful scenery - and wonderful holiday memories! From Hohtenn I walked along the southern ramp of Lötschberg railway line down to Außerberg - a most impressive and exceptional hike! In your photo I like especially this great depth - nearly 3D.
