I really like the colors here, Greg. They emanate the cold of December in New England very well. The clarity is excellent. I like the composition, too, but wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of the blue house on the right. Regards,

Hi Greg,
The house is indeed very charming and it really stands up with your wise POV and the beautiful winter light that you controlled so well. I wonder if that beautiful sky is natural. Even if it isn't (or specially if it isn't completely), I suspect that there is a lot of merit in the PP for rendering it so nice.

First striking thing : the light management.
As long as I've been seeing your pictures, I know you've always been good at it, but... you're getting better and better. Specially the sky, it's simply superb. Perfect contrast & sharpness, which are of course strictly related to lighting. The better the latter is captured at the moment of shooting, the lesser the former'll have to be boosted up in PP, which avoids unnatural "trembling" edges en noise in a general way of speaking.
Excellent POV, featuring a very comprehensive and well detailed view of old New England. Plenty stuff to look at in this shot!
Therefore : great effort, period.

Wonderful shot of an old house which would be so lovely if it were to be touched up with a bit of paint. Lovely architecture, gives a real homely feeling.
(pity the brits dont build homes like that, maybe i should be move after graduation :-))

Hi Greg,
Typical early 20th century upper middle class home with ornate design to the wooden trusses of this multi family dwelling. Love the semi barn garage and the big maple trees in the yard. Very clear colors and shapr details to this urban beauty.

Good POV that shows the real beauty of this old house. Here in the Northfork of Long Island you can see many being restored to mint conditions and the resale value is astromical... Very good investments.

Greg,
a typical "old" house of the East Coast and it seems to have a lot to tell as well as a lot to be fixed. The colors and light are great with a good contrast between the mellow yellow of the house against the blue sky and the blue house on the right.
