[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Almost the top of the Tymfristos Mountain (localy called Velouchi). A beautifull ski shelter, and in front of it, the sign, where the strong wind create this sculpture. The last year we have zero snowfall. I hope this year snow is returning, for the good of local economy and ski lovers, but for the reserves of water too.

Some more information for the shelter from www.hit360.com site:
At the same location with the Ski Centre, on an altitude of 1840m., there is the Shelter of the Federation of Mountaineering and Ascension, that brings the name of the unforgettable Takis Flegas, the first who envisioned and fought for the creation of the modern Ski Centre in Velouchi. It was built in 1962 in the area “Diavolotopos” (devilʼs place), it offers an Alpine landscape in the heart of Greece, Roumeli, from where one can view a forest from mountain summits, unique in spectacle and greatness. Capability of hospitality for 30 individuals. It offers overnight staying, food - coffee, and a lot of wintry activities.

AMAZING VIEW , after what i see GREECE on the 40 celsius degree (i feel that on that summer in Nei Pori-Pieira region).

This is not what I expect to see from Greece! :-)
Make me long for the skiing activities in the springtime..

Fantastic.....such an eye-catching image, which is made even more dramatic by the monochromatic colouration. The POV and the way that the ice-covered sign dominates in the frame, has created a very impactful photo. Colours and clarity are perfect. Very well done.

This is Greece ? Not the Greece we usually see ! I did not even know there could be ski centres in Greece ! Your composition is excellent, the sharpness is very good and colors are great. Good job !

Hi Chris,

A different white and blue contrast game you show us here, different from the one we usually see from the islands! Personally I'm fed up with Santorini and other island's photos and I'm really looking forward for the winter season which I hope will be hard enough! The colours of your photo are crisp clear and I like them.
