Here's a picture of an Arbutus tree on Saturna island. This is about as far south in Western Canada as you can get. This is also about as far north as the Arbutus tree gets.
Arbutus trees have bright red bark, with green skin underneath. The bark is paperthin, very dry and constantly peeling.

Hello!
Really enjoy this shot, shows perfectly the glorious colouring of the arbutus trees.
Only thought is perhaps cutting the bottom off slightly to have the DOF be crisp so the foreground is less distracting would give it more impact.
