Photographer’s Note
This was one of many favorite places of John Muir, he called it the "jewel of the Sierras". This string of meadows is surrounded by towering giant sequoias (some as higher than 100 meters) and filled with a diverse collection of flowers and grasses where bear and deer forage in the evening. I would love to post larger versions of my photos, but anything bigger than this consists of over 200 kb, can any one tell me how to get around this problem?
