I was down in Syndey earlier this week to hear a concert of John Wiliams' film scores at the Opera House. An impressive building on the harbour - with a great sound for the orchestra to perform in. This is a view from the beginning of the Botanic Gardens walk around the harbour, and its a perfect place to take a morning walk.

It is a very impressive building. I like the walkway leading into the picture. It looks like a wonderful place to hike. Love the colors of the sky and water! TFS

Hi David. Very effective PoV- not the usual presentation of the House. The snake like curve leads to the building nicely, which in turn is enriched by the dramatic colours and shapes in the sky. The strip of green is a welcome change in colour. Well done.Regards. Klaudio.

Hi David,
I was down in Sydney recently on a bit of an Australian "tour", and it certainly is a place to visit. Having experienced the same environment myself, I feel that you've captured the regular feel of the place.....relaxed mood....lots of people excercising in one form or another....generally good weather and lighting....and not forgetting the famous Opera House....it's like I never left. Well captured.
Cheers Grant

I have done some of that walk and I really enjoyed the view. The curvy wall separating sea and land is very good as it is too the placement of the Opera House. That hint of the bridge gives the final location of the scene. The nice sky and colours are very good too. Well done.

Hi David,

One of the buildings more photographed in Sydney but here the point of view is different and another aspect of the surroundings gives us. Qualities of the image are very beautiful, I like much this sky which gives depth and relief to the image. The colors are very pleasant and clearness is very appreciable. Beautiful work, cheer David.

With all my friendships,

Jean-Charles

Bonjour David

Interesting new perspective of the famous opera house. Good idea to have capture the people to give it scale. Nice sky. Did you use a polariser?

Hi David,
I like your point of view here, as a slightly different view to this famous landmark of Sydney. Soft curve of the sea promenade works well bringing our eyes gradually to this fascinating building. The white clouds behind the Opera are so amazing.

Hi David,

Very nice view of the Opera House. A very classical but still very pleasant subject. The colours you managed to capture are very vivid and the good contrast emphasizes the beauty of the Opera House. Nice composition as well with great perspective.
Nice job!
Quentin.

Hi David,
I have seen many photos of Sydney's Opera House but this one has one of the better perspective because of the incorporation of walkers, the curvy road, and the superb sharpness and colors. Interesting that you mentioned John Williams - our local public TV featured his film scores a week or so ago. Best regards,
Danilo

HI David
It is refreshingto see a different POV of this icon.
Well composed and good colours.
Well done!

Hi David

Great shot, weather is perfect and saturated color (using CPL?), I like your pov and composition here. The white roof stands out.

TFS, cheers

Hi David,

Great picture! The composition and POV are unusual. Love the way you used the road to lead the eyes, the 2 girls doing their footing add interest and a nice atmosphere to the picture. A plece with it seems to be good to live. Great sky and colors.

Regards,

Flavia
