[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Beginning of 2007 summer vacations. Dramatic start with terrific thunderstorm at Toronto International Airport causing 3 hours delay in departure for Europe. Taking pictures and still waiting for our plane, LTU one, to show up.
This storm was just beginning of whole series on the way to Europe. We started with 3 hours delay and arrived at final destination in 26 instead of 10.5 hours.
Delays, rerouting our flights all the way.
We have observed in the process thunderstorms in Toronto, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Warsaw.
Arrived at final destination with camera bag and my wifes purse, luggage lost somewhere.
After 26 hours, no clothing to change, no shaving gear, no toothbrush, no pajamas...travel not to be forgotten easily. Thanks to Warsaw Airport personnel for excellent service finding and delivering our luggage to us next morning, all with sympathy and a lot of smiles, thanks a lot.

Wow, impressive! I love the colour of the sky. Nice picture.

Hi Christopher,
Light is really dramatic. Sun illuminates aircraft against wet tarmac and dark sky. Also head-on PoV against KLM jumbo is efficient.
A pity that file size is too small, JPG compression brings artefacts around edges.

Impressive pictures. Photos through the airport window re usually so-so but your colors are superb. The blue of the KLM against the darker blues is a good choice.

Everybody talked about that awesome lighting so I won't... I really like the image because we can even see the head of the pilot aboard the KLM 747-400. Nice capture with nice contrasts and a nice story to read!
