Great atmosphere !
I like the soft light given by the mist, the composition with the huge trees and the small bench. The boat is very welcome because it gives depth to the picture and help see the lake.
It's so quiet and peaceful... Do you mind if I take a seat ?

Very simple and efective composition with the bench well placed in the frame. Just wish the sailing boat was more clear and a bit more sharpness would also be good (but maybe it would lost this interesting softness).

Gran compisicion Linda.
Simpleza, colores suaves, excelente DOF y encuadre.
El efecto de la bruma sobre el velero es muy bello.
Bien hecho!

A fine classical composition, lonely bench of set, framing trees and low horison. The boat is a bonus!

classique mais très bien réussie. Composition très bien maîtrisée, le bâteau au large à peine visible ajoute une note supplémentaire de mélancolie à la photo. très bien vu.
Nice view over the lake. Very peaceful with the mist and the empty bench and sail boat. You used the trees perfectly to frame this shot. It really just makes me sit here and stare out at the water. It's a perfect addition to my Great Lakes theme. Another view of these ever changing waters. Nicely done.
And if you got a photo of the Welland Canal that would be interesting to see. I must have been to Niagara a dozen times and not once did I notice the canal. The last several times I specifically kept a lookout for it and still did not see it. I've started to believe it doesn't exist and the ships magically rise over the falls. :) It probably just doesn't look like what I'm expecting so when I actually cross it I don't recognize it as a canal.

What a wonderfully serene moment, Linda. The lonely bench and the sailing boat are beautifully framed between the mighty trees, and your post-work I think really turned out a success. Your note brings back fond memories of my first "big" (i.e. four-week) trip to the U.S. in 1999, around the Great Lakes.

Makes me feel a bit lonely... the empty bench and the very distant sailboat... nice!

Really attractive image! The great impression of peace & tranquility we get from here... As we are sitting there on the benche! Very Zen... :o)
I just wonder how the image would have looked with a crop on the right side... Framing just in the black of the tree - just like on the left.
