Photographer's Note

The fishing boat "Allouche" is about to leave with a crew of 25 men aboard. Some of them are still on the quay, as you can see, including the guy with the yellow shirt.

A member of the crew told me that he enjoyed his job that he had been doing for 10 years, that they were leaving each day (except when the meteorological conditions were really too bad) at 4 to 5pm, coming back every morning between 8 to 11am.

Their main cash are the sardines, a big export from Morocco and he told me that there were enough fish at sea : each day, they were coming back with 1,5 to 2 tons of sardines. Those men seemed content to work together and proud to be photographed. This was the most colourful boat at that time in the harbour, at around 5:30pm...
