Photographer’s Note
Still in Lithuania, but just borrowed a flash card reader, so here's a shot from Sunday. At the resort of Palanga (again), with a pier pointing due west, it's a summer tradition for the everyone to walk down to watch the sunset, I was lucky that there was quiete a good one.

The color and light is wonderful Richard. This is an excellent capture very nicely composed. The eye follows the edge of the crowded pier taking in the sumptuous light reflected from the sunset as we mark the light standards one by one along the entire length. First rate work.

This is a lovely shot with nice colours. Why are there so many people on this bridge? I love the way the bridge stretches down the photo. Well done.
PS, I dont borrow equipment anymore cause my wife dropped her dads camera lense on the weekend that was on loan to us!

seems like all those people are looking at the sunset. although the view of the sunset itself must heve been spectacular usually prefer shots like this one, with objects in the warm light of the setting sun.
Nice shot Richard, seems you have a nice trip there

Grate shot here Richard.
I really like it. With this shot you made a great depth, and I like those good lines in it. Very good job.

So, you've shared the sunset with another 1'000'000 people... not very romantic, but definitely original. The pier, leading to a vanishing point, is very well positioned in the frame.

Great shot of the pier, the angle and the sunlight too, very well seen and well taken too. The horizon is perfect and the dof is fantastic, I like the on going pier, very nicely caught

A very beautiful shot, Richard. You captured the people perfectly - both those looking at the sunset and the couples just strolling along. Good detail and colours. Well seen.

Quel spectacle. Pour tous le monde. Tant pour ceux qui regardent le coucher de soleil que pour nous qui admirons cette perspective très bien capturée. Excellent Richard !

I find this the better of your two Lithuanian sunsets. Very nice lines and an interesting event - so many people to see a sunset. Amazing.
Just one detail - the horizon is not 100% level. I know it happens to all of us, and it is not that visible to the naked eye. But I always do my scroll-test of seascapes, where I scroll until the horizon reaches the edge of my screen - and oops. But it's a lovely shot with fantastic colour reflection in the wood of the pier.

Nice to watch this pier with people - theres already one more shot of this place but with only one person. Nice to see all those watching the sunset - it gives a fine light at there heads - thanks Richard, for sharing your holiday photos.

What a great shot Richard!
If I didn't know any better,. I'd almost think it was a very detailed pastel painting. The colors are superb, beautiful saturation.
Very well composed, I like how you can see ALL the way down the pier.
With colors like this- no worder so many people venture out to look at the sunset. That is truly fantastic.
Well done Richard!

Wonderful picture. Good way to capture a sunset and a big crowd in one shot. The gangway gives a great perspective.

when you think about Lituania, you usually think cold, snow, baltic see, neverending winter... and then you give us this shot with "shiny happy people", and brightfull colors. So that's excellent !
