[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken in Sandown on the Isle of Wight during a very cold spell in November 2005.
The sky was clear and the air temperature was around -8'C, and this freezing cold air was moving down off the hills in Brading and traveling across the frozen marsh land, then as it reached the sea the comparitivly warm water (12'C) caused pockets of steam to rise, infact the steam was so thick it looked like mist!
This is quite a rare sight and only usually happens in colder climates.
The name for this "steaming sea" is called Arctic Sea Smoke.

I used an ND4 Graduated filter with my old Fuji S2 Pro.
