The Singapore Fireworks Festival is now on! First performance was this evening by the team from USA with Mr. Tim Thompson ( Melrose Pyrotechnics, Inc. ) as the choreographer.
In 1987 Thompson began creating musical soundtracks and using computer choreography software to design pyromusical productions for Melrose Pyrotechnics. To date he has designed and produced hundreds of musically choreographed displays for many of the most prestigious events in the U.S. and Internationally.
Dozens of photographers were on location, most of them well equipped with black fat DSLRs on black sturdy tripods. I hope that some images that I manage to capture using my Canon A80 above is good enough to share here.
The next performance will be next Sunday. Watch for more!

Good shot! You timed this one perfectly, and I really love the range of colours you've managed to capture here. I'm undecided, but I think I'd probably be tempted to crop a bit off the right hand side to balance the blackspace a little more though. I wasn't aware there was a Singapore Fireworks Festival until now! Very nicely captured :-D

good shot. where were you positioned? I was at Clifford Pier and did not get a good position. Most of my shots are blur as there are people who pushed into my tripod when I was taking. They are all so excited and it is rare to see fireworks in Singapore. Nevertheless, congrats for the good shots. nice and colorful.
