This is taken inside Masjid Jamee (Grand mosque) in my hometown Esfahan. The two men were chatting after they had their noon prayer. the pattern of the wall in the background is an example of islamic architecture. only the little girl noticed me.

I truly find the picture and the idea behind it great. The triangle made by a shadow on the top, the little girlīs face and the two men with their back to the camera all make for an excellent composition. Perhaps sharpening the pic a bit more, or cropping even further on the sides to make a more rectangular frame would have made the picture better? I don't know, I like it as it is too. Very nice.

I like this shot a lot, Koroush. The background is fantastic and I love that the little girl is facing you. I also love that the girl is dressed in red, which is the only color in the whole shot. I just wish the shot had a bit more "punch" -- maybe a little more brightness and a bit more sharpness.

BTW, I posted a shot called After Prayers (from Sarajevo) last week. Did you see it?

A very nice composition, and a very artistic shot.
Well done.

very nice image Kourosh, great pattern, very nice composition too, nothing to nit pick here, good stuff

Wonderful composition. So graphical, this repetitive pattern and the position of the the men and the child is so impressive.

Fantastic composing of this scene, Kourosh, I really like your nice point of view !

Very well composed. The special wall is well shown and the little group is fine to give it some life. Just one thing is a bit odd - the men are turned away from the girl as if they donīt want to see her.

Nice composition. And the light is perfect to the scene.

Very original picture with a good play with the shadows and a good use of these patterns on the wall. Folks seem to stare at this scene. Only the young girl is attracted by the photograph. Well done !

Now that's a special photograph; the regularity of the patterned wall is broken nicely by the shadowy triangle and that highlight. And of course the girl in the red nicely breaks the regularity of the greys, browns and blacks. Well done

A very nice repetition of patterns here (the background, the walls underneath, the stripes and blocks on the shirts, the dotted robe of the girl). It is indeed striking that only the girl wears colours, probably because of social rules whereby children are allowed more because of their innocense.
You have a nice portfolio !

What an excellent eye !

Kourosh,

Excellent shot. I like the the graphical form of the wall pattern. Also I like how the shot is almost monotone, except for the little girl in her red dress.

What a simple and magnificent shot! I really love the pattern on the wall and the intimacy created as the men are looking in the other direction while the girl is looking at you. I really adore the space you have left and the angle you have chosen on the whole. My only little point is that the white spot really pulls my eye in over and over again... I wish it wasn't there... but then again, it is simply perfect with it as well! :D
Best regards,
Julia
