This scene was shot in the yard of Krivoklat, one of the very well preserved Czech medieval castles. It is not dominating, but hidden in the forests of the central part of the Czech Republic, near the town Rakovnik (about 50 km west from Prague). Krivoklat castle, originally built in the 12th century, since then repeatedly burned and rebuilt, now hosts a museum of medieval (its own) interiors, furniture, library and daily life.
There is also active group of breeders of gledes, maintaining the ancient tradition of using these majestic birds in hunting. They also use to demonstrate hunting skills of their birds (hawks, falcons, buzzards, eagles, kestrels and even owls) to the visitors of Krivoklat. On the picture the young visitor offerd a prey on the leather glove to the glede, which in a couple of seconds identified it from the other side of the yard and after elegant short flight caught it, enjoying admiration by the group of tourists. |

Interesting scene, Peter, with the audience visibly mesmerized by the activity of the landing bird. The motion blur in its wings is a good element in this shot. This is actually more of a people shot than it shows a lot of the castle, but that's perfectly fine ;-) Your note is interesting as well, good job.
