Hello Paul..long time...Interesting the way you have worked out the configuration on a manual machine..quite inspiring as the finish is always unknown..keeps one waiting...good job witht this one..
An impressive play of light and shadow..till the lower tip of the shot..well done
Cheers
Sayeed
you can never fail with this camera can you? the Black and white adds personality and the sharpness on the shadows near his legs came out well too!
Great work Paul !
The result of your work is very impressive. A subject at the right place, a composition perfectly managed with the large amount of space needed for the shadow, and a camera perfectly controlled for an overall result that lets me think about pictures of great photographers of the early 20th century.
Very well done !

Hi Paul. Beautifully composed in B/W. The long and soft shadow even with the slightly raised left foot came off so nicely. A good POV as well. Regards.

Yes! Compliments...You know what I think:-), was waiting for it.
Full of atmosphere, the cobblestones are gorgeous, the light too, great composition in curves, the long shadow...well done Paul, I love this.
Good old film...and camera...
Thank you also for the very interesting note.
Take care

Paul, this is definitely one of your best. I like it so much. The curved cobble stone pavement, the elongated shadow, the spotlight cast upon him, the stairs in the bg and finally your super lean vertical cadrage are all amazing. I also love this aged, jaded James Dean with his outdated hairstyle and the defeated look in his posture. Great photo! I'm adding it to my "wish I had taken it" theme.
Love,
Fuusn
Hello Paul,
Interesting game with the long shadow...the low sun of winter i ideal for that...good timing on his step, lovely texture of the shining cobblestone,
well done,
vincent
salut Paul très jolie image en noir et blanc bon cadrage et beaucoup de détail fin amitié harold
It is a long shadow. You've captured a scene with spectacular lighting here. I like your cropping.
Hey Paul,
Awesome work man.. I'm guessing this is commute photo on your way into work. Perfect timing. You got the guy's shadow nearly touching your toes. I like how you took note of everything you did using your M6. It helps me out.
Take care,
Brian
Hello Paul!
Great scene You catch!
I like the shadow on the old stones!
The light looks very nice in silver tones!
Best regards!
hi paul,
i see a james dean look in this gentleman, the way he carries the walk with both hands kept inside the pockets. if he were smoking, james dean, this is!
the light that illuminates the casted shadow is what i admire most in this compo, you so well captured "naturally".

Hello Paul,
the long shadow and the cobblestone are very cool...even moody with the man with the hand in his pockets.
The curve in the stones i a delight as well. Did you find your spot and waited until someone passed by? Or was it really a luck: you saw the light, you saw the stones, you saw the man, oh my god, click!!
Cropping to keep only the shadow is really not an option here in my opinion. I like seeing the shadow getting "borned" at the feet of the man and following it all the way down. I also like the attitude of the man too much.
Very very good,
Marc
