It was a hot summer day on Georgia Strait between Vancouver Island and the Mainlaind of British Columbia. I was travelling on the B.C. Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo. A log barge was visible in the distance to starboard. The day was so hot the islands of Georgia Strait were warped by heat mirage giving an interesting backdrop to the tug and its log barge.
