Photographer’s Note

Another capture from Ballintoy Harbour which shows some religious group performing baptisms I think. Some tourists seen this as a great photo opportunity and climbed this bank behind them to steal a shot I chose a higher (out of the way) POV in order to best capture the huge waves rolling in.

beautiful concept and creation. I like the tones and the colours and the superb perspective which this image has giving it depth and insight. The colours are fine and so is the light management. Overall impactful and good work.

Hi Stephen,
Climbing a bit was worth it. A great POV giving us a splendid view of the rocks, the waves and the white dressed people. The ceremony adds a slightly bizarre touch to the magnificent scenery.

It is the first time I see this kind of activity. Andd more than this, the pov, and the lightning are very good.
It is both a reportage and a nature photo.

Hi Stephen, nice shot of the scenery with the waves bashing up against the shore. The people add an interesting "human" element to the shot, and fit the scene well in their white garb with the white breakers. Very nice control of your colour and detail in this shot.

Excellent composition. Details of the huge waves are nice and the people in white on the mossy rocks makes a good contrast.

Hello Stephen. The photo pleases me very well. It is outstanding composed and dynamic in the structure. The white dressed group correlates in the best way with the white of the waves. Considerably also the natural colors. Really an impressing and worth seeing photo. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Stephen. Very good shot, and quite unusual with those white-garbed figures (like birds of a sort) on that small green-topped promontory. Good choice to get on higher ground, as the waves are impressive and add to the whiteness theme. Sharp and well lit photo.

This is indeed a very powerful shot, with the huge waves crashing in. The longer view works very well, as it allows some telephoto compression, so the waves seem very close to the people. Excellent work!

Are these sect members there for baptism or collective suicide? :-D
What they do looks rather dangerous to me.
Very nice and interesting photo. The presence of these crazy people makes the already impressive natural scenery look even more fascinating.
