Nafplio Harbor I Photo

Photographer’s Note

I'm starting a new series of Nafplio Harbor, which is close to the old city, and faces Bourtzi towards ahead.
Its the Place where you can rent a boat to carry you to Bourtzi for 20 minutes exploration. If I'm not mistaken the fee is 4 Euros per person.

About the shot:

Nothing special really, Aperture priority program f/8 exposure 1/250 (EV/-0.3 to avoid overexposing the whites), widely taken at 18mm, ISO 100.
A polarizer filter was used also which almost never gets out of my camera during the day ;)

Shot taken from the stairs at the back of the harbor pier, which lead to the main street next to old city, where a small parking with canons is ahead.

- Some Minor adjustments (contrast/saturation)
- Frame added
- Title added
- JPEG optimized up to 200kb for TE use!

beautiful concept and creation. I like the tones and the colours and the superb perspective which this image has giving it depth and insight. The colours are fine and so is the light management. Overall impactful and good work.

Hi Stelios,
Interesting to compare this to the previous version of the same place. The wide angle shows fortress and background smaller. But in also allows us to see this pier in complete. I like the symmetry provided by gigh, central viewpoint. Spacious and cosy looking place.

Hi Stelios. Been there too, be it a very long time ago. But it is such a nice place that it is hard to forget. I like how you composed the picture; your pov gives it a very good depth. The colours are attractive and the fort is nicely visible.

This is an amazing view and an original composition. It looks like an airplane takeoff road to go on Bourtzi...
The old Nafplio is a very beautiful city (my first post on TE!). I have very good memories from this place, specially the view from Pallamidi.

Τι ώρα απογειώνεται το αεροπλάνο; Τράβηξες μιά εξαιρετική φωτογραφία της αποβάθρας του Ναυπλίου με συνέχεια το Μπούρζι και τα βουνά στο βάθος.Η οξύτητα κάνει την φωτογραφία σου ζωντανή με την βοήθεια βέβαια του φωτός και των χρωμάτων.Πολύ καλή δουλειά.Μπράβο

the daylight version is very nice too... nice patterns on the airport ground:P...
(the writings on the frame (on both shots) are a bit distracting i have to admit... may be you should prefer smaller characters, or may be they should be centered... dont know really...)

Θεματικά άριστη και θυμίζει όντως αεροδιάδρομο. Σωστά ισοροπημένα χρώματα χωρίς να έχουν καεί.
