[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Near to the village of Kalandula in the Malange province of Angola, in the midst of where the civil war raged and ravaged this beautiful country you will find this wonder of nature, 107 meters high, only the Victoria falls are higher on the African continent. Anywhere else in the world a place like this would be crowded with hundreds of thousands of tourists. Here,I was all alone........

Hello Jan
Impressive photo of beautiful falls. I liked your note.
Best regards
Jelle

Stunning place, Jan!
A place to visit, sure hoping that the safety will increase a little.
I can hear the roar of the water and feel the wet air around...
A smile

A wonderful picture from a place we used to know for its bloody postcolonial history
well done and TFS

Silvio

A classic view of the Kalandula Falls (Duque de Bragança is the former colonial name). I have been there twice and I believe I never saw that much water. It is a magic place and I would say it will not stay isolated for much longer. I was recently at Victoria Falls too, and they are both wonderful water falls.
From my memory of 35 years ago, the falls are not that high. I have the idea that they are a bit over 80m but I needed to go back to some Portuguese resources to clarify that number.
Anyway, it is a nice photo which pleases me a lot. It is always good to see picture from my beloved Angola.

Great picture! I went to the Kalandula Falls some weeks ago... it's really impressive... The pictures don't make justice to it!

Good point of view and a lot of depth.
