[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The spectacular castle-crowned crag, on the famous north Antrim coast, was shaped when the sea cut deep into the rock. Dunluce Castle, originally occupied by the MacQuillan family and later the MacDonnells was besieged by the British in the 16th Century. An accord was eventually signed with the English monarch in the name of peace. Part of the castle broke off and the kitchen plunged into the sea, during a storm one night, killing all the cooks and kitchen-hands. There remains a dark hollow. Dunluce Castle is thought by many to be the most picturesque and romantic of Irish castles.

Thanks for looking :)

A lord of the Rings scene.

Wow, the sky is really impressive. A very moody shot. I like the PP work.

Bonsoir Gary,
What a superb view to Dunluce Castle from Antrim coast. Good compo, contrast and just enough long time for a complete viewing pleasure and interesting effect in the water. Looks like a phantasy.
I enjoy it a lot and thanks for sharing!

Hi Gary, wonderful moody capture with the McParland signature. Inspiring fear is great title exactly the kind of mood I experiened at Dunluce, this place has such photographic potential I think. Very well done.

hi gary
another stunner from your side
great view,beautiful place
thanks sharing.,anes

Very surreal and impressive, though the softness of the castle makes it look a little artificial, the foreground and the sky are excellent.

Hello Gary!
Amazing shot with impressive colours!!
Your photo look like a mystic and fabulous painting!
Have a nice day

Hi Gary,

I do like itm but... Why are the ruins so so soft at f/22?? I would have hoped that would have become a bit harsher, especially on the edges. But the composition is very pleasant!

Greetings,
Dennis

Spectacular view of Dunluce castle as always, this is a very dramatic shot with great colours, maybe just pushing it a bit with the pp for my liking, but still has an impact.

Thanks,

Patrick

wow perfect picture with wonderfull colours!!! well done

On se croirait tout droit sorti d'un film d'horreur tant l'austérité des lieux est superbement transcrite dans cette image, encore une fois, bravo!
