Photographer’s Note
The highest point in England! 978 metres. A bump by other areas but special in its own way! Taken on the climbers traverse on Gt gable, the next door mountain on a snowy period in the Lake district.
This is an unusual view as it is so often under cloud!
Hope you enjoy?
Steve

Hello Stephen. The photo is a masterpiece in b&w. Motov, grey tones, composition, light, contrasts, - absolutely perfectly and worth seeing. Photographically a maximum performance. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi,
Superb contrasty shot which shows the relief well, and very appropriate for the view. Looks like a picture from an old guide book, and very chilly! Thanks.
Dougie.

Hi Stephen,
a very nice picture of these mountain tops. Excellent definition and a nice composition. Though it works well in B/W, I wonder what it looks like in full color. TFS

Welcome to TE.
I really like the B&W presentation here Stephen. Good detail in both the light and dark areas and the horizontal cropping really suits this subject.

Hi Stephen,
this is a joy in B/W! My compliments for the way you have handled it, it's full of light, of details, nice tight composition and brilliant contrast with good whites and blacks.
I like it a lot.

Lovely shot with nice contrast between the foreground and background. I look forward to heading up there later this week if weather permits! Thanks for sharing this.
