[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I came across this image the other day in my vast collection of images that I've taken, but have never done anything with. Well it's time I did something with it.

This was taken on a hike with my parents somewhere in the Cascades off of Interstate 90, but I'm probably totally wrong. The view from wherever this was is pretty spectacular, but we had quite a bit of haze so it was rather tough to see as far as we'd like. But it was still worth the 2 hour hike up! It's my goal to camp up here some night to catch the sunrise. I guess stay tuned for a future image of that!

Beautiful photo! Good work

Hello Brian -

Which mountain is this? Rainer, Baker, Adams! I do like the layering effect that the ridge crests give to the image, they draw you into the image. The haze and light scattering is also an enhancing feature. Well done! Yes, I think it might be worth the 2 hour hike and a stay for sunrise and even sunset.

Thank you for sharing.

John

Astonishing view! It is the most freeing image and equates to a long ocean view. Really need to maximize the size and the thumbnail does not do it justice. The volcano in the distance would make it a spectacular sunrise too for some later adventure.

Kathy

Brian,
that can be only Mt. Rainier. What a pity that the haze was so intense and yet enough to marvel over this view. The composition with the hills in the foreground and finally the climax at the left background is outstanding.

Hi Brian. Love the graduation of shades which lead the eye to the main peak. Perfect composition and exposure. great work.
