Photographer’s Note
Shot from a commercial airplane high above California's central valley. Contrast was adjusted slightly because of the blue haze of the original photo. I can't tell what flowers are grown there, but there must be a dozen kinds.

I like the result here. The colors are great the amazing splash of color in the midst of the darker colors is great.
It looks like a quilt, or a microchip.
I really like these colors.

I think I would've cropped it a bit, so the green doesn't distract the beautiful colors. Or maybe the buildings at the top, hacked those away maybe.

I really like the statement made by this picture. I think there could be an argument made for having the picture rotated so the field borders are vertical/horizontal, but I prefer it the way it is--it adds a sense of playfulness. That playfulness of course matches the happy brightness of the flowers...this is a cool shot.
