Photographer’s Note
Today November 15, it is King's Day in Belgium. That specific date has been chosen with respect to our first King, Leopold I, as November 15 is devoted to Saint-Leopold according to the Gregorian calendar.
The monument shown here is the Royal Palace in Brussels, taken from the Rue Royale's side.
Well, if the picture itself has nothing special, the events Belgium is currently facing are of a historical nature, whatever the final outcome. Belgium has slumped into a deep institutional crisis as persistent attempts to form a governement have failed thus far (almost 160 days after the federal elections held in June 2007). Let s wait and see... and hope!
