I went for a walk on the shores of the Columbia River from Wintler Park yesterday morning and I came across the scene of this pier, as I stood there and viewed the scene the clouds began to form over Portland and cross over the Columbia River. I used a ND 2 and a polorizer to cut the glare from the sun.
Enjoy,
Steve |

Hi Steven,
looks like a very dramatic shot! I would rotate&crop the picture to get the water surface really horizontal. And did you try to move the sun a little bit to one or another side?
Regards, Miroslav
Hello Steven
Great morning color tonalities over this scenery captured under a dramatic sky with the poles and bridge(?) and their reflections adding graphism to the image.
Have a nice day

Hola Steven,
Preciosa foto con estupenda profundidad y bonitos colores.
Sólo el horizonte está un poco inclinado, pero eso no le resta belleza a la toma.
Cordialmente
Charo
Ho Steven
Hehe, the same Sun and clouds as I captured a week ago :). I like this, very nice image, colours, although I don`t love these pales, they disturb a little the view ;).
Regards
Steven,
a wonderful mood that you certainly saw there. Anyone else with less experience in photography wouldn't have been able to capture it. The use of the filters were certainly part of the success.
I like it a lot, although I agree with Miroslav that the shot requires a correction in the tilt or if it is on purpose it should have been increased.
Regards, Peter
