Photographer’s Note
The palace is one of the most significant baroque and rococo style artistic monuments, built in the 18th century as summer house for duke of Kurzeme region. The castle was built after Italian architect Franchesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli project. The interior of the palace was developed in the 18th century by Italian and German artists. During the World War 2 the palace was not damaged however after the war the halls of it were used as warehouse. The palace consists of 138 different rooms, from which the central part used to be the apartments for the duke, eastern part consisted of representation rooms: Golden hall, White hall and the large gallery and in the western part lived the other members of the duke’s family.

Hello Oleg.
A very nice composition, with the flowers in the foreground and corner, adding depth to the picture. Great colours and light in this good exposure. The palace looks superb in your composition. Nice work.
