Hi Barrie,
This seems to be your first posting on TE. I´m sorry, but the sky is dreadful, too much processing. The composition is not bad at all but you have to be careful with the PP work.

Welcome to TrekEarth!
There is a problem in the sky of your photo. I think you've boosted very too much saturation. That's why some strange white forms appear in the sky. You'd got an interesting reflection in your shot but your post-treatment ruins the final result.
If you want some help with post-treatment software, don't worry asking us, we can give you some advice.
Could you post in workshop your original photo so that I could work on it?

I do like your first photo, composition, DOF, POV colors and a great light... and mainly the very sharp details .. but I can't understand what you mean with the strange sky effect (over exposed?) you intend this ? some PP ?
