Photographer’s Note
We were staying in this chalet by Lake Sarasin for a weekend only. Thanks to our baby who woke us up very early in the morning, I was able to witness this wonderful view. The lake was covered with mist that was being blown softly by the wind and the sky was just starting to get some colours from the sun. It was magic.
No other PP than the usual.

Nice capture of this area. The hills seem to float over this morning fog. And the capture of those first colors over the horizon for dawn adds to this airy and light feel. I like the framing using the trees in the foreground as well as the way it adds the feel of another ridge, bringing my eye up and then dipping into the fog and back up again. Again and again. And there is a nice zig-zag pattern to the back. Nicely done.

Very fine and moody image Catherine. I like all those silhouettes - and the soft orange light - thanks for sharing - great to watch.

(Great atmosphere and nice shot, it looks like a dream... Good idea to include the silhouette of the trees in the foreground, it enhances the depth of the picture. Thanks to the baby ! :^)

I adore mist pictures. This one in particular is very well succeeded. There is so much fog that you don't see the lower areas anymore. Only the higher grounds are softly appearing. Nice picture!

Nice picture, and the title goes very well with it. The composition is good, the only thing for me is that, contrary of others comments, i find some of the branches down in the middle distracting. It is always tricky to put something in the foreground, it must be strong enough to integrate well with the picture, not to become a distracting elements (I'm only talking about the 2-3 small branches in the bottom middle, the rest is fine! I ended up doing a WS on it...)
Overall very good picture.

Nice colors and tone for this 'morning' picture.
The mist on the lake create a mysterious atmosphere in the picture.

You can feel the first chill and light of the morning in this photo. The tree silhouettes to the left and right act as excellent frames for this picture. The grey/pink sky add to the gentleness of the image.
