Photographer’s Note

Ponte Da Barca (Bridge of the Bark), in full heart of the High Minho must its toponymo to the "bark" that made the linking between the two edges, and is the bridge constructed in middle of séc. XV that it goes to give to the name of S. João de Ponte Da Barca (1450).

Original version of the photo is the colors, modified the colors for tones of purple.

Great reflection, with the water being so still that it's almost like a mirror. The bridge with those arches makes a series of circles, which is very beautiful. Interesing processing too, with the monochrome allowing us to concentrate on the shapes. Well done!

A "claridade" e os reflexos estão fantástica e a viragem a roxo resulta muito bem. O POV está bem escolhido, mas há algo nele que não me satisfaz plenamente, talvez o facto de nem ser frontal nem ter profundidade (embora o céu dê alguma).

Very interesting idea. Colors are strange but looks very impressive. Excellent ancient architecture with amazing reflections. Very nice symmetry.

Wonderful composition and superb pov, to present us this old bridge. The reflections on the still water, the cloudy sky is absolutely superb. I find it very interesting that I took a similar photo of an old bridge in Istanbul built by Mimar Sinan, a famous old Ottoman architect. The architecture looks very similar to me.
