This is nostalgic to me as I used to have one of those myself (a 1969), even of the same colour!

This one brings back alot of memories to me too. I was practically raised in three of these Beetles! Yes, my dad had three but not at the same time.

Though not as in epic proportion as Dr. Farid Ariffin's London to Malaysia journey, we travelled far and wide on them.

Well this picture is special, by reading your note :)
The technical part of the photo is flawless, since the exposure on your subject is perfect.
the colours are vivid and true, and the POV selected, is lovely :)
You're lucky you have this photo, this one is great!

Though the sky might be brighter, but as I said the exposure was perfect, you couldn't do much about it, if you did, you'd lost the shadows of the leaves and the colour of the car
.
I made a workshop, shifting the sky into magenta, which made it more blue.

Here in Brazil, the Beetle is called Fusca. Nice photo of this so famous car. The tree shadows over the car result in a pretty effect.
the background is beautiful too.

Hi Jusni, your pictures are very colourful, sometimes even ofersaturated. I like that one because of huge contrast between colours and perfect shading on the VW! I think that's most important factor of your photo. looks like Beetle advertisment! good luck..

VW Beetle ! In Brazil, we call it "Fusca" and this reminds me my first drive experience, in a yellow one. Good times, many years ago !
I like the combination of light and shadows provided by the leaves.

a great car portrait indeed. i have seen gzillions of those here on TE (majority of them - plain boring) and, to be honest, yours is one of the best. there is some delicate balance in your composition: balance between light and shadow, balance between colors. the top-edge-framing is a very nice touch and the red is magnificently luminous and eye catching.

You've captured one of my favorite cars so very nicely here. Love the dappled light of the leaves on the vehicle and the shiny chrome. The trees frame it perfectly on the top. Very nice work. Shame the trees died:(

This was your ride? Such a beautiful little car and it seem that you took excellent care of the it. The bright colours sine under the tree and your story is very interesting. Quel dommage que vous ayez vendu ce bijou qui a la couleur de cerise lui-même! Je comprend le deuil de vos cerisiers!
L'ombrage des arbres semble le protéger en effet et l'environnement champêtre sert d'écrin à cette pièce de collection.
I wish I had one nowadays...because of the high price of fuel!

I'm happy to see this beautiful photo (excellent composition, colours and perfect lighting!) but I'm very sad to read about the trees! Well, I know that trees (plants/flowers etc) do have a soul of their own, they miss their "friends" or "masters" and really may die if they can't manage the loss. I have a tree (carambola) which misses me a lot when I go away to travel.
