Hello Els,

Even though the weather is quite poor and there are low clouds in the distance, the clarity of this shot is very good!
I have to agree with Susanita, although the picture is not busy, there is such a lot to see: lots of interesting details, colour tones, shadows, mountains ....!

Hello Els.
The water is rendered so beautifully in this shot. The photo is 'busy' with things to look at, but the peaceful atmosphere is beautifully caught in your composition. It has an incredible sharpness, and just a few splashes of colour, red and green, to contrast with the blues, whites and browns. I love the distant mountains shrouded in cloud. A very pleasing picture.

Prachtig landschap op de Lofoten. Het moet daar prachtig zijn. Het rustige water zorgt voor een prettig, rustige sfeer. Leuk om dit kleine haventje te zien. Ik vind de compositie ook prima. Mooi werk!

Hi Els,
Lovely somber tones captured in this harbor landscape. The pretty green that clings to the to the hard grey rock makes a lovely color contrast as does the orange seaweed does to the slate blue water. The calm harbor catches lovely clam reflections of the warf and boats.

I can see you had a varied weather during your Lofoten stay, but that's an important side of this place; most days are not sunny in particular during winter...
This is a fine classical composition, showing two important elements in this society - the sea and the boats!

Very nice and clear. Thank you for deciding to come back on TE and sharing your pictures.
On this one, I particularly like the fact that is it is quite impossible to determine where the reflecion starts.
The atmosphere of this small fishing village seems to call us and to remind us to enjoy peaceful and relaxing moments, whatever the weather offers.

A placid looking scene, nicely composed and exposed. The rain must have been suspended for you temporarily, there are no circular ripples in the still water.

Ja inderdaad, daar móet je wel tot rust komen. Geweldige landschappen hè! Wat een rustig water, mooie reflecties.
Net als je in je eerste Noorwegen foto vind ik ook hier de buitengewone scherpte en helderheid (ondanks het grijze weer) opvallend. Heel mooi!

Indeed a calming scene, Els, very balanced composition but I think this violet colour cast is what does it for me...

everything looks so smooth.. no waves, no strong wind but cloudy, probably the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere is the strongest impact on this photo. It looks like a village , far from ambitious people,everyone make a living by fishing and selling it to internal markets, those are the thoughts this photo brings. Excellent weather conditions, so neat view
