[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Walden Pond, located in Concord, Massachusetts, was formed by retreating glaciers 10,000 - 12,000 years ago. It is 61 acres in area and 1.7 miles in circumference. The writer, transcendentalist, and philosopher Henry David Thoreau lived on the shores of Walden Pond for two years starting in 1845. His account of the experience, recorded in "Walden, or, Life in the Woods," made Walden Pond famous.

This photo was taken on an equisitely perfect New England fall day, incidentally the day following a nor'easter, which may account for the washed-clean look to the sky. I was told the foliage was one week past its peak, but I don't know how it could have looked any prettier. The water was the clearest I've ever seen in any pond. Despite the chill (temperatures in the mid-50's Fahrenheit, or around 13 degrees Celsius) there were a few people swimming in the pond; I was able to take only three shots from this vantage point before I had to stop, because a swimmer in a wetsuit swam into the view and disturbed the reflections on the water.

Hi, Nina
Splendid and marvellous capture about the fall's colours. You could join a lot of diferent colors scale. Great reflections and good POV & framing. Keep up your good work. Best Regards, Consuelo

Great Autumn colors in this shot. Did you try this shot with a polarizer?

Hi Nina,

What a beautiful place with the riot of colours in the nature. The best part of the pic is that u captured a perfect reflection and the ripples of the water didn't make it a mirror reflection.
we do not find this colours in India, thanks for sharing.

Pinakie
