What has attracted me to this shot is the 'absence'. There are many, many shots of the Siti Khadijah Market in Kota Bharu like this one but they all depict the lady vendors and their customers in the frame.
This one leaves me with the question "Where is the lady tending to her business?" She should be there, sitting crosslegged amongst her goods.
A catching shot indeed.
However, the absence of any notes from the photographer is uncalled for. :-(
