Ah, nice work. What a soup of autumn colours! Isn't it just a wonderful time of year?! Not just for photography, but the entire mood when walking outside and smelling the leaves. I love it!
Good note. Impressive story about the second world war. It is always amazing to see how on a local level there are so much hidden small atrocities, so much hidden hurt. I mean, the sheer number of 25 million who died during WW2 is much less tacid (since it's not comprehensible, you can never paint a picture of that) than the image you describe of helpless children and women being slaugtered in this forest. Good note.

Hi Hercules. Nice harmony amongst all these colours. Even the green pines fit in as they accentuate the warm tones. the foggy upper part softens the whole image. Would Kastania be a derivative for chestnut? Regards. Klaudio.

I like the autumn of mountain which mixes the red trees and the fir trees.
Bravo for the treatment of colors, it is not easy when the weather is dark.
The fog which becomes more and more thick forms a beautiful gradation.
Your note is very interesting (and poetics also). Regrettably, a village in France knew the same dramatic story... It is necessary to hope that Europe will succeed in preventing that such horrors reproduce.

It is an amazing autumnal vieuw, despite the fog and bad weather. You are right: Greece has so much various treasures than sand beaches or summer vacations villages. The beauty of the mountains must be preserved against those who want easy money and who don't hesitate to destroy the life.
Thanks also for the historical information about Kastania. I did not know it. Last winter, I visited Kalavrita (Peloponissos) wich was also the target of the Nazi terror. I think there are many villages in Greece who were affected by Nazi persecutions and massacres and it is important to keep this memory alive.

Great autumn colours here! Orange, yellow, golden tones..green, dark green it's all present in a stunning mixture of colours. The details is good, well, the POV provides a good overview and the myst finishes the photo adding some mood to all the colour. Excellent saturation, bright colours and detail :)

Bueno, lo primero decir que la luz y la composición, tópicos donde los haya, me gustan.
Así, una vez dicho esto, miraré de ir en diciembre a Atenas, pero sería una visita breve.
Aunque tanto si es que sí como si es que no, cuando pueda coger vacaciones (eso es dando por supuesto que me renuevan) me quiero ir también para allá.

Ε βέβαια, πως να μην κάνεις φωτογραφία από τέτοια θέαμα;
Εκπληκτικά χρώματα Ηρακλή. Σαν ζωγραφικός πίνακας που ο ζωγράφος χρησιμοποίησε όλα τα χρώματα που του περίσσεψαν.
Τελικά η φύση είναι αξεπέραστη. Το μόνο που χρειάζεται είναι ένα έμπειρο, ευαίσθητο μάτι που να βλέπει αυτή την τελειότητα, και εσύ το έχεις.
