[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
More than a decade ago, when I first went to Iguaçu Falls, I saw just one of this guys. It looked friendly, but grabbed my wife's leg when she tried to photograph it. Not serious, it seems it only wanted to play.

This time, there are dozens of them, walking around us all the time. Our children became in love with them, my 3 year old son is still talking about them all the time.

I don't have any idea about it's english name. In portuguese, this animal is a quati.

Nitidez muito boa, e bom uso da profundidade de campo! Aqui em BH também tem uns, mas eu acostumei a chamar de gambá mesmo, apesar desses não federem. Composição muito bonita!

Bichinho bem engraçado. As crianças adoram. É um animal diurno e onívoro, come insetos e frutas.

Hi Augusto,

It is Coati (Nasua narica)

The four species of coati are relatives of raccoons, all of which live in the New World. They are lovely creatures and I like them very much. The groups of coati live also in Tical, Guatemala. Very nice photo!

Guto, as cores e nitidez ficaram ótimas hein? que luz. Acho esses bichinhos muito engrçadinhos, no Rio de Janeiro, há um parque no centro onde há vários desses que se misturam com os gatos, logo logo eles vão acabar cruzando e gerando uma aberração um gati ou um quato hehehe
