As the sun begins to set, the Cirrus clouds present the perfect backdrop to the silhouette of the Lombardi poplars. Using Gimp, the contrast was significantly increased, the original image is in sepia.

Great shot! Looks a bit like aurora polaris.

love the colours...the sky and the poplars are all reaching up....very nicely done....the graininess works well with the dramatic image.
