This was a dull wet day in the Lake District.
A shaft of light appeared and illuminated the scene,it only lasted a matter of 30 seconds

An appropriate picture to submit on the Day of the Dead! Very haunting and mysterious. Good reaction time!

Hi Lynne,

Very nice composition and the light is just fantastic. A suggestion though. Your sky is a bit noisy. You reduce the noise by using something like Neat Image which is readily available on the Web. See WS to see what I mean

Hi Lynne,

this is an absolutely fantastic picture! I love the composition, the rocks in the foreground, the silhouetted tree, the distant mountain... You have framed the moment really well! These 'light shows' only last a very short while, so you have to be quick!
Well done!
Regards,
Costa.

Hi Lynne, you grabbed the moment and came up with a winner.
The narrow range of colours creates impact and the shaft of light shining on the water and the rocks is perfect.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Lynn,
I like these scene, some mistery here. The picture is very well composed and nicely framed with a tree. As about noise - I use Neat Image and it is pretty good solution to reduce the noise pretty fast. Good shot, Bravo!
With BEST Regards from Russia,
Arthur
