| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was in Paris over the New Year period and had just got my CP5700. The weather was really poor for photography - low cloud and diffuse, dull light.
One day I went to the cemetery at Pierre Lachaise and took a lot of photos. When I came to look at them on the PC I was disappointed with the light and exposure so I just filed them away.
Then recently I came across them again and decided to try them B&W. Most certainly the subject and the season (winter) lends itself to B&W. I particularly like this one from the set because the sculpture has a sense of drama and the angle of the pic seems to add to the whole frame.
Workflow was to take out colour first, then USM once, then levels and finally USM again. This may seem a little odd - I would normally sharper once and at the end, but this way worked best. |
