With the wild fires in San Diego County, I am sure there were many pictures taken. This one is of the North side of the Harris fire as it comes over Barber Mountain near Lake Barrett.

Hi Chris,
That is one amazing cloud of smoke; outstanding detail and color shows an excellent exposure in difficult lighting. Great framing too.

Powerful shot, Christopher!
The lighting is superb and the way those clouds of smoke are rolling across is just awesome. That is truly an incredible sight. Well seen and captured! Thanks and kind regards,
Shelly

Well captured document of this disaster. Your picture is good, smoke here looks so amazing and powerful... although it's difficult to say positives about wildfires and tragedy they caused...
Regards,
Agnieszka

Incredible presentation...
Even though the shot seems to be quite common - the incredible color arrangement (that is: a natural color arrangement) made this photo so interesting...

In addition - The California tragedy itself...

Thanks Christopher, for bringing it up.

Wow, impressive sky. Although itīs a terrible thing itīs a good photo. TFS!
Nina

Hi Christopher!
wow! A great one! Original, and powerful. Take care,
Steve

Christopher,
this seems almost as a photojournalistic image. Sad to see that the beauty of this photography is acutally linked to so much sadness and destruction. Nevertheless, this post here is about the incredible beauty that is behind destruction - is there a contradiction?
I have the impression that you did some PP to clear up the lower part of the shot. Is that right?
Regards, Peter

Hi Chris,
I didn't take pictures of the San Diego wildfires, but I was upset by the tragedy therefore I posted a few photos related to it.
This photo presents the wildfire in a very menacing fashion; for sure in reality it was even more threatening than we imagine with this picture.
I wish that yourself you didn't have problems with the fires.
Regards,
F

The photo reflects the fear of seeing an approaching uncontrolled fire with all the drama of the darkening sky.
