Photographer’s Note
Artist's Palette is an area of exposed clay and mudstone that has been weathered by the heat and hot groundwater of Death Valley to bring out its colourful minerals. The best time to take pictures here is sunset, during the day the desert light is so bright and harsh the colours tend to get washed out.
Part of a trip report.

I know this place very well, and I know its beauty. You captured very well its colors and tones of brown and green. Maybe I would crop a little bit of the sky, whose blue is an "important" presence.
