The Black Church (Biserica Neagră) built by the German community of the city and stands as the main Gothic style monument in the country.
Black church, build between 1385 and 1476, gets its name from being one of the only building still standing after an attack of the city around 1600, but being left with black, burned walls. It is the largest church in Romania.
