Photographer’s Note
An Athonite Skete is a monastic hamlet, with Kellia (houses) inhabited by one to ten monks, with a chapel, where they celebrate their daily services. On Sundays and great feasts, they are gathered at Kyriakon (the central church), celebrating there. Attached to Kyriakon is a hostel, for the pilgrims.
Depended on Koutloumousiou Moanstery, this Skete, dedicated to St. Panteleimon, is organised as such by Hieromonk Charalampos in 18th century.
