Photographer’s Note

In the very centre of colourful Balat, the fruits seller is not any more interested in visitors taking photos ; his shop is so colourful that every newcomer is admiring it, while he seems bored by the show.

A street vendor, pushing his plastic items, was just passing there : active vs passive with colours a bit conflicting, natural colours and artificial ones...

J'adore celui qui baille, l'autre avec sa carriole n'est pas mal non plus. Tres belles couleurs pour cette scene si marrante.

Une scène bien colorée et amusante avec le marchand de fruits qui baille bien fort! Bon cadrage incluant le type a la carriole. Détails bien nets. La vie quotidienne, bien captée.

Although abit humorous it is also a very good picture showing daily life. The colors are really nice and I'm sure attract alot of buyers.

This is one of those photos that the more you look at it the more you see. The fruitseller has got a good location on the corner with double frontage for his produce. A well observed daily life image.

Hi Cath,
I like the apposition of the rather bored looking shopkeeper on the left and the struggling activity provided by the street vendor. The clarity of detail is good and there is a great variety of hues and tones to enhance. For some reason I cannot help but laugh - not disparagingly, mind you - at the way that the bored shopkeeper's head seems to resemble the stacked melons behind him. A great capture...later.

you ve got that moment very well , knowing that he did not yawn to pose you. this type of street vendor is not easily seen in the middle of Europe, so in a way you ve done well there too , to show others how hard life conditions are in Turkey for so many.
