Hen and Chicken Islands Photo

Photographer’s Note

I had the privelege of sailing down Northland's east coast with my friend in his ten metre catamaran. Early in the morning of our second day, whilst I still looked as if I'd been photographed under fluorescent lights, I took this picture. With a minimum of tweaking in Photoshop I arrived at this result. The Islands are known as the Hen and Chickens; a large island followed by a brood of little ones. (While I am now using a Canon EOS 400 Digital many of my early pics, this one included, were taken on my old Nikon F50 film camera.)
