Photographer’s Note
Riding on a bus in Taipei, I noticed this young child who was sitting in the seat behind me. Barely tall enough to peer out the window, as you can see, only his nose and eyes were above the ledge he was holding onto.
I quickly grabbed my camera, estimated the distance and exposure, prefocused and shot the photo over my shoulder without looking through the viewer. (Being a foreigner on a local bus draws enough attention. Being a foreigner on a bus, taking photographs of other people on the bus draws much more attention than I'd like).
Far from technical perfection, this grainy, somewhat blurry photo has a unique perspective at a young boy staring out a window and looking at the world around him. That's good enough for me!

very interesting. The grain makes it almost like a pointilistic painting...I like that the figuritive part of the picture is very small.

It's way more than good enough for me, and reading how you took it, interesting. The way everythung fades in to a blur leaving us with that little cropped face as the only recognicable subject works really well. You made exellent choices on that bus ;o)

Thanks for this very creative picture. Your note is very nice, describing well how you took this picture, which makes it even more interesting. I do appreciate the grain, because it makes it look like a documentary picture. But I also like the workshop of magnier, which makes it much smoother.

A pretty amazing picture given the circumstances. Love the way you still managed to compose the picture!

Quick shots sometime pay and this is the case for this one. I like the surrounding somewhat blur area. It looks like a dream. Poetic title.
