Isla Reta Beach Resort in Talikod, Samal is about an hour pump boat ride from Davao City's Sta. Ana Wharf. Talikod in Bisaya means "back" and this island has been known for its pristine clear waters and fine white sand. Theres always beauty to the other side of the coin right???

Isla Reta, a simple and totally outdoor resort has been a fave getaway for beach bums because of its coziness and cheap rates. It has become the "back door" to unwind and enjoy more of the laid back living in Davao aka more bumming around.

A friend from Manila was in town and I couldn't just sent her back to the busy city life without experiencing first hand the very definition of "laid back" which for that day composed of grilled Tuna panga, fresh fruits, eating with our bare hands, life stories and of course this priceless scenery.
